Darmstadt 98 is heading to Bad Wörishofen for a training camp. The team has also planned a special training start on the grounds of SV Winterkasten in Lindenfels. The players will return to work after a six-week break on June 25. Initially, performance tests are on the program, followed by a return to the pitch. For the first training, the Lilien have come up with something special: The unit will not take place on the home training ground, but on the grounds of SV Winterkasten in Lindenfels. The action is intended to be the starting signal for a stronger presence of the Lilien in the Odenwald. "With various actions and events, the SV 98 wants to get closer to the people in the region in the coming months", it was said by the Darmstädters. Four test matches are already fixed - against the lower-class teams from Arheilgen and Fehlheim as well as the two fourth-division teams Homburg and Walldorf. Who the Lilien will test in the framework of the traditional season opening ceremony on August 1 is still not known. However, it is clear that coach Florian Kohfeldt is sticking to a tried and tested goal in terms of training camp: Like last year, it's off to Bad Wörishofen in the Allgäu for fine-tuning. Two further test matches are to take place there, which have not yet been officially announced. The second division season starts then on the weekend of August 7-9.
