What's happening with the U21 team?

Darmstadt 98 is revamping its U21 team. Sebastian Schmitt, who took over the U21 team in February, will now coach the U19 team. The previous U19 coach, Patrick Kurt, will take over the U21 team.

Why is this important for Darmstadt 98?

The sporting director of the youth performance center (NLZ), Maximilian Mehring, said: „We made the decision together with Patrick and Sebastian in February to set up the U21 and U19 teams in this constellation starting from the summer.“ Darmstadt 98 is hoping for success in the new season. The reserve team of the Lilien had a tough time in the previous season.
